Here's a photo of the 1978 evening champs show
(Crawley Chordsmen won the gold this year) Bob Walker is
directing, and you can see Don Amos, Bob Witherington and Mike Watts in the back row wearing white suits - (they won the gold with the Newtown Ringers that year) Paul Wren is in the back row far right (Ringleaders 1974, and he joined the Newtown Ringers as baritone the next year). Brian Shorrocks (Tenor - The Fortunairs 1977) is standing front row far left. |
