Here's a photo of Allan doing his best "Peter Pan" impression. The quartet won the 'novice trophy' in 1978 which was a "Sheng pitch pipe" (presented to BABS by Peter Tinker)
   

Spring 1978 - there was a barbershop camping weekend held in Feltwell, East Anglia
(US Air Force Base) and the quartet borrowed a 1965 camper van from Chuck O'Dom
(who founded the Brighton club)

Here's a photo of the 1978 evening champs show (Crawley Chordsmen won the gold this year)  Bob Walker is directing, and you can see Don Amos,
Bob Witherington and Mike Watts in the back row wearing white suits - (they won the gold with the Newtown Ringers that year) Paul Wren
is in the back row far right (Ringleaders 1974, and he joined the Newtown Ringers as baritone the next year). Brian Shorrocks (Tenor - The Fortunairs 1977) is
standing front row far left.
